There’s been a lot of activity on the Phorm front recently, both from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) ‘Privacy by Design’ conference in Manchester and from a ‘Behavioural Targeting: the Fire and the Fury’ debate at the University of Westminster.

Simply go to www.bt.com/webwise. You’ll be able to see whether BT Webwise is turned on or off on the computer, user account and browser you’re using at the time, or if it is not available in your area yet.

As unemployment looks set to soar in the months ahead, soon to be outgoing head of Ofcom Lord David Currie appears to have discovered a cunning plan to find jobs for tens of thousands. The time for regulating the internet is nigh and Ofcom could be the body to do it.
