I wrote about corporal punishment in schools. Disturbingly, it is legal in several states in the U.S. This is truly uncivilized and I am shocked it goes on. In fact, it is often brutally administered and for things as small as chewing gum or being late to a class.

A few years ago this kind of news would have saddened me, but with Sony's track record over the past 3 years all I can muster is a chuckle. I can't imagine anything that will pull the company out of the hole they have dug themselves in, while stranger things have happened. I think ultimately the PS3 will be the final game console they make, for atleast a few future generations. Simply because they need to reboot, and return to their roots as a company.

They have completely lost touch with their consumers, but what do you expect from a company that was still up until recently surviving off a system released almost 10 years ago. I can't help but laugh at how arrogant they were, with the PS3.

I think there is too much bad press around this subject matter and not enough about what the benefits are. This is nothing new. Information is tracked on everything we do whether it is via Loyalty schemes, banks, and insurance companies so they have the information to deliver relevant offers.
Google collects a wealth of information about how people search, what converts, etc. Again is this necessarily a bad thing. They will then be able to deliver the most relevant results.
The whole purpose of behavioural targeting is to provide the right product, at the right price, at the right time. Marketing 101.

This is a serious issue which my MP has acted on in the EP. Thank you for posting this. First problem is no one really knows about this. Second, problem is no one cares. Third problem....see #1.

If we allow our civil rights to be absorbed by the EU bureaucracy, I am afraid we will never get them back.

Cheers
